Our springboard (yes, spring-board) is Ovid's gorgeous ancient tome Metamorphoses. Who doesn't love his age-old tales of gods and mortals becoming stones and flowers and stars and berries? \"Our version of reality is very personal,\" Susann Cokal writes in an essay here. \"So is the state of transformation that is, in the end, the human condition: It is mystical, beautiful, uncanny, and the most real thing about us.\"\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eLet's embrace this state of change. Better yet, let's celebrate it!
