Aegir Statue
$ 105.00
Aegir is a powerful figure in Norse mythology associated with the ocean and its unpredictable nature.
He is often depicted as a giant (jötunn) rather than one of the main gods, yet he is friendly with them and frequently hosts grand feasts for the gods in his underwater hall. His wife is Rán, who is known for capturing sailors in her net, and together they have nine daughters who personify ocean waves.
Aegir represents both the bounty and danger of the sea—capable of providing abundance but also causing storms and shipwrecks.
